The Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) hosted the visting Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and his accompanying delegation in the presence of Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahd Al Thani, Qatari Ambassador to Serbia, and Jasminko Pozderak, Serbian Ambassador to Doha and discussed bilateral trade and business opportunities.
From the Qatari side, event was headed by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman, QBA; Hussein Al Fardan QBA First Deputy Chairman; Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani Al Thani QBA Second Deputy Chairman; and QBA board members, Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal Al Thani and Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani as well as QBA member; Saud Al Mana and QBA Deputy General Manager Sarah Abdullah
Tomislav Nikolic said his visit aims to discuss ways for trade and investment cooperation between the Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from the Serbian side, and to identify potential investment opportunities. He also praised the economic prosperity he witnessed in Qatar. The President elaborted on the the foreign investment potentials in his country. Serbia has several free trade agrements with its neighboring countries including a free trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association.
