Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, provided glimpses of 16 research projects focused on sustainability in energy and the environment, at the Qatar Sustainability Expo. QNRF is the national research funding agency in Qatar, facilitating original, competitively selected research projects that address priority needs of the nation. The fund’s presence at Qatar Sustainability Expo coincided with the UN Climate Change Conference in Doha (COP18/CMP8).The Expo provided governments, industries and NGOs the opportunity to showcase environmentally sustainable initiatives, programmes, plans and products, as well as the opportunity to hear expert speakers and panel discussions.
