Doha: Former Indonesian president Prof. Dr Ing Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie is arriving on a four-day visit to Qatar tomorrow. He will attend the opening of WISE at Qatar National Convention Centre  at the invitation from H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of WISE. He will also give a public lecture at Georgetown University in Qatar on ‘Optimising Technology and Human Resources for Economic Sustainability in the Islamic World’ on Tuesday at 6pm. The movie Habibie & Aniun will be screened for the public at Hamad Bin Khalifa University Student Center Cinema on Tuesday at 4pm. It highlights his devotion to his wife Aniun. 

Education Minister visits CNA-Q

Doha: The Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi visited yesterday College of the North Atlantic - Qatar (CNA-Q)     and met Vice Chair, Executive Committee, Dr Latifa Al Houti, President of the College, Dr Ken MacLeod, and other officials. He was briefed on the college’s facilities, specialities and programmes as well as its needs and challenges it faces.

French visa services improved

DOHA: To improve visa services, the French Embassy said applications will be received in Qatar at Capago-MENA company from December 11. Facilities for applicants include a personalised contact in luxurious and comfortable offices and assistance to fill their application form and files. Capago-MENA will also help them identify documents needed and a shorter period of visa registration from the first appointment to the final issuance of the visa. Services such as easy follow-up of visa application when requested, notification by e-mail or SMS when the visa has been issued for the applicant to know when the passport can be collected at Capaco-MENA will also be provided.
