MANAMA: Bahrain has exceeded its annual target plan by 1.83 million barrels by achieving a refining rate of 262,400 barrels per day in 2012.
In a statement released Tuesday, Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) said, the refinery was able achieve this despite planned maintenance programmes of its two crude oil refining plants during the month of October.
BAPCO Chief Executive Officer Gordon Smith said, "We continue to work hard for excellence in order to meet the set objectives and achieve the highest revenue and profitability ratios to support the efforts of comprehensive development in the Kingdom of Bahrain." (QNA)
