DOHA: The Qatar Exchange in the green area Wednesday adding 37.78 points (or 0.44%) to advance to 8,693.89 points from 8,656.11 Tuesday.
The volume of the shares traded up to 4,584,363 from 2,604,304 on Tuesday, and the value of shares increased to QR214,276,150.25 from QR135,258,853.08 Tuesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.52% to QR136.50, Industries Qatar rose 0.30% to QR164.50, Qatar Telecom gained 1.38% to QR110.00 and Doha Bank up by0.57% to QR52.50.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.19 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index rose 1.08 points. The industrial sector was gained 0.16 points while insurance sector lost 3.40 points. (QNA)
