Doha: The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani chaired the weekly Cabinet session at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
Following the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud said it approved a draft agreement on cultural cooperation between Qatar and Spain.
The Cabinet also took measures to ratify an agreement on exempting the holders of official biometric passports (diplomatic passport, special or automated readable passport) from entry terms between Qatar and Germany.
The meeting then reviewed a letter from the Minister of Energy and Industry and chairman of the standing committee for water resources on the third quarterly report of 2013 of the panel’s activities and took the appropriate decision.
The committee adopted decisions, including a draft law on water bills in GCC states, rationalising the use of desalinated water, and strategic water projects and followed up the plan to develop water storage capacity by expanding current capacities and the setting up of giant water tanks. QNA
