National Command Centre website launched

Doha: The Public Security Director-General, Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, launched the website of the National Command Centre in the presence of the Head of the centre, Brigadier Abdulla Mohamed Al Suwaidi, and directors of departments at the Ministry of Interior.
Al Khulaifi hailed the centre’s efforts towards modernising its work, which is reflected on the excellent services it offers on all levels.
Al Suwaidi  the launch of the website is part of the ministry’s keenness to offer excellent services to various segments of society.
He said the website aims to raise awareness of the centre’s services, particularly the emergency service (999), and provide a communication channel for suggestions and recommendations.
Four erring shops closed down
DOHA: Al Rayan Municipality closed down four shops last month for violating food safety norms. It destroyed 1,622kg of meat, 8,361 food packages and 26 slaughtered animals and sent 18 samples to central laboratory.
Al Wakra Municipality conducted several inspections and collected QR87,500 in December. It closed one food outlet and caught 30 violations for selling food unfit for human consumption.
Al Dayan Municipality inspected 147 food outlets and officials issued 38 warnings and sent eight food samples for tests.
It also conducted joint inspections with the Consumer Protection Department and caught 28 violations and destroyed 390kg food which was unfit for human consumption.
