DOHA: A Qatari delegation, led by H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani, Minister of Economy and Commerce, visited Saudi Arabia to have a first-hand experience about the functioning of various industrial zones.
The Qatari delegation, along with Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON) Director General Saleh Al Rashid visited various industrial zones. Al Rashid explained the private sector investments in different logistic services, single window licence facilities in the Sudair City for Industry and Business.
The Saudi officials also explained about the activities of Sudair City and the facilities available for the entrepreneurs in the city. As part of the familiarisation trip, the Qatari delegation attended a series of meetings and seminars.
Sudair City for Industry and Businesses is located 120 km north of Riyadh on an area of 264 million square meters and spread over 32 km long on Riyadh-Qassim highway. It is the largest industrial city developed by MODON, through which the North-South Railway line is passing and which will have a dry port to serve the city.
