Doha: The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers celebrated the National Sport Day with the participation of Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti.
The celebration came as an embodiment of the objectives of the Amir Resolution No. (80) of 2011, which stipulated that the second Tuesday of February of every year will be a National Sport Day, and to achieve the lofty athletic, health and social meanings of this decision.
The celebration began this morning with the employees of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers gathering in Al Markhiya Sports Club, in accordance with the precautionary health measures established to combat the spread of the COIVD-19 virus. Everyone set out for a walk around the Stadium. This was followed by a friendly football match between the employees of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, along with a number of other sports activities.
