Doha: State institutions participated in the activities of the National Sport Day yesterday with full zeal.
The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau participated in the Sport Day activities that were held at Al Gharafa Sports Club, in the presence of H E Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau.
The programme included a set of sports activities for employees and their families, and a number of recreational competitions that consolidate the purpose of organising the National Sport Day, and that emphasize the moral values that motivate the importance of practicing sports and its positive impact on health and lifestyle.
The General Authority of Customs and the General Tax Authority also participated in the activities of the National Sport Day, by organising joint sporting events between the two sides, as part of their keenness to participate in all events that constitute an added value to society, and at the same time carry a purposeful message based on spreading the positive spirit at all levels, the events were organised in accordance with the health directives announced by the Ministry of Health.
The event was attended by President of the General Tax Authority, Ahmed bin Issa Al Mohannadi, Assistant President of the General Authority of Customs for Support Services Affairs, Mohammed Abdullah Al Maadeed, and Assistant President of the General Tax Authority for Tax Affairs, Ghanem Khalifa Al Attiyah and a number of directors of departments and employees of both sides, where a “walking” event was organised for men, which lasted for two hours, at Lusail Marina Walk, on the other hand, a women’s event was organized for a number of customs and tax officials in one of the sports complexes.
The participation of the General Authority of Customs and the General Tax Authority in the activities comes as an embodiment of the vision of partnership with various institutions and official bodies, in order to promote a culture of sports and health awareness, and to enhance its practice to become a daily lifestyle and behaviour in society, in a way that helps in building an integrated person, capable of contribute to the process of development and construction, and achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030, of which the human being is the most important pillar.
