The Commercial Avenue celebrating the NSD activities by releasing colourful balloons.
Doha: The Commercial Avenue organised a number of sports events including a marathon to celebrate Qatar National Sport Day (NSD) at its headquarters participated by its staff and their tenants.
The Commercial Avenue CEO, Abdulla Abdulrazaiq Haidar expressed his happiness about the people’s awareness of the importance of sports and said that the event is not only an annual occasion for exercise, but a reminder of importance of making sports a daily behaviour for everyone.
He also explained that their participation coincided with Qatar’s sporting events this year, of which the most important is the FIFA World Cup 2022. He also distributed the medals to the winners of the sprint.
This year’s event was held in exceptional circumstances, taking in consideration the social distance in addition to special precautions to preserve the health and safety of all participants due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was concluded by releasing colourful balloons and taking memorial photos.
