ISLAMABAD: All the three names proposed by the opposition leader in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, have been rejected by the ruling Pakistan People’s Party, according to official sources.

Khan from the Pakistan Muslim League-N had proposed the names of Rasool Bakhsh Palejo, Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid and Justice (retd) Sahkirullah Jan.

However, the PPP rejected the said names on the pretext that the hatred of these personalities towards the PPP was known to all, added the sources.

The sources referred to a statement given by Palejo on Friday, blaming the federal government for severe financial crisis in the country.

Sources said Justice Shakirullah Jan had given his verdict against the PPP in the National Reconciliation Ordinance case.

They also said the enmity of Nasir Aslam Zahid with the PPP was known to all.

Sources said on his behalf, Asif Ali Zardari was sent to jail in his brother-in-law’s murder case when he was not president.

Sources said the opposition had not sent any names to the prime minister for the caretaker premier so far.
