ISLAMABAD: Pakistani government has extended the deadline up to June 2014 for the completion of computerisation of land records of all the remaining Revenue Estates in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
The Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) IT Project titled ‘Establishment of Land Revenue Records Management Information System (LRRMIS) in the Rural Areas of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Islamabad’ was originally approved by CDWP on 27 November 2006 and continued to remain pending till the PML-N government took office after May 11 elections.
According to statement issued by Ministry of Information Technology here yesterday, the government actively pursued the project. Before the present government; only 8 Revenue Estates out of 112 ICT Land Records (Mauzas) had been scanned in the past 5 years. INTERNEWS
