A cricket tournament among the shipping companies, which operates in Qatar, was held recently at the Mesaieed Sports Complex in Mesaieed. Nine shipping companies took part in the Wilhelmsen Ships Service Qatar Challenge Trophy tournament.
Gulf Agency Company (GAC) was crowned Champions and event host Wilhelmsen Ships Service Qatar ended as runners up in the fifth season of the tournament.
A plate category was also played and Aero Freight and NSM were awarded as joint champions.
Skipper of GAC Thushar was picked as ‘Man of the Final’. Best bowler award was given to Sudeer of GAC and Man of the Series was Hamees Mohamed of Wilhelmsen Ships Service Qatar.
Wilhelmsen Ships Service, Roma Transport, Al Million Transportation, Gulf Agencies, Gulf Warehousing, Plaza Inn and Sponcor Orient Inspection were the tournament sponsors.
