Aspire Academy’s U-18 team players celebrate their triumph at the Tri-Series football tournaments, at the Aspire Academy in Doha recently.

Doha: Aspire Academy’s U-18 team maintained its top form to clinch title at the Tri-Series football tournaments, which concluded at the Aspire Academy recently.
Aspire Academy concluded last week the latest Tri-Series of the 2015 – 2016 season, in which the Academy’s U-18, U-17 and U-16 competed against their counterparts from Danish football club Aalborg BK, Costa Rican football club Deportivo Saprissa and the Mexican Football Federation’s youth teams.
After an intense three-day competition, Aspire Academy’s U-18 team emerged victorious in its category, while the Mexican Football Federation’s youth teams returned home with the U-17 and U-16 titles.
The Tri-Series competitions play a major role in the development of Aspire Academy’s student-athletes.
Giving teams from the Academy exposure to different playing styles, management philosophies and tactics from around the globe and the opportunity to play against opposition from some of the world’s most established footballing countries helps the Academy’s players develop their talent and fulfil their potential.
It is a vital part of Aspire Academy’s commitment to enabling the sporting success of its student-athletes.
On the side-lines of the tournament, and during an official high-profile Danish delegation visit to Aspire Academy, HRH Prince Frederick, the Crown Prince of Denmark, and HRH Princess Mary, the Crown Princess of Denmark, met with members of the Aalborg BK youth football team and its staff, and took photographs with them.
In recent years, the Tri-Series tournament has brought some of the world’s finest youth teams together to compete against the student-athletes currently enrolled at Aspire Academy.
