Doha: The Cabinet expressed hope that the framework deal signed in the Swiss city of Lausanne between Iran and Group (5+1) on the Iran’s nuclear programme would lead to a final agreement to enhance security and stability in the region and the world.
The Cabinet reiterated Qatar’s firm position calling for maintaining the Middle East a zone free from all weapons of mass destruction including the nuclear weapon, while guaranteeing the states of the region’s right to the peaceful use of the nuclear energy in accordance with the standards and measures of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and under its supervision.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani presided over the weekly regular session at the Emiri Diwan.
The Cabinet reviewed a draft law on the issuance of military judicial law and took the appropriate decision thereon.
The military judicial law included rules related to the enforcement of law, regulation of the military judiciary, formation of functions of military courts, the military prosecution, the legal affairs directorate, military crimes and penalties, international human law crimes, military judicial inspectorate, inspection, interrogation, preventive detention, filing the case and starting procedures before a military court, trial proceedings, trial in absentia, authenticity of judgment and ways of impeachment, and the enforcement of military judgments.
The cabinet also approved a draft cabinet decision amending the formation of two committees to price real estate expropriated for public benefit. The two committees shall practice the functions and duties stipulated in law No. 13 of 1988 on the expropriation of real estate and temporary seizing them for the public interest as well as the regulations and decisions issued for its implementation, including the preparation of official periodical pricing lists for lands of different plots of land located within the boundaries of cities and villages and the assessment of due damages for the expropriation.

A bilateral agreement on the reciprocal administrative assistance for the optimum implementation of the customs law and the suppression, detection and fight against custom violations between the State of Qatar and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
An agreement on news cooperation and exchange between Qatar News Agency (QNA) and Algerian Press Service (APS).
