Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephone conversation with HE Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the call, they reviewed regional developments, particularly the latest developments regarding the ceasefire agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Pakistani Prime Minister briefed HH the Amir on the details of the agreement and the efforts that contributed to reaching it. HH the Amir expressed his support for the Pakistani Prime Minister's efforts in this regard. For his part, the Pakistani Prime Minister commended HH the Amir's wisdom in handling the crisis and praised his supportive stances in promoting security and stability in the region.
The two sides also discussed the attacks on Lebanon and their repercussions on regional security and stability. Both sides condemned the series of Israeli airstrikes that targeted wide areas in Lebanon, emphasizing the need to support peace efforts and resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic means.
