DOHA: The Consumer Protection Department (CPD) has forced three commercial outlets to cancel their promotions having found that the price discounts offered for several items were not genuine.
The shops were selling textiles, electronics, electrical and household items and car accessories.
CPD inspectors while conducting routine raids at the shops found that the displayed prices were either misleading or didn’t match with the actual prices. The Department forced the shops to cancel the promotions for the remaining period, Al Sharq reported yesterday.
