QFCHT holds awareness programme

Doha: Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking (QFCHT) organised yesterday the second programme of the Wayakum awareness campaign under the title ‘Home is wherever you are sustained’. 

The programme, which was held at the Industrial Area Labour Health Centre targeted more than 300 workers from different companies and corporate institutions in the country. 

The programme included an awareness lecture delivered by Dr Adulsamad Al Sukkari, Professor of International Law and expert on research and studies at the Training Institute of the Interior Ministry. The Lecture shed light on the concept of expatriate labor, the impact of dedication to work, the relationship between the worker and the employer, the definition of the labor contract in accordance with international and national legislation particularly the Qatari Labour Law No. 14 of 2004, and what it pointed as mutual obligations of the natural persons, legal entities and workers.
