QE index gains 233.76 points last week

Doha: Qatar Exchange index gained 233.76 points, 1.84 percent, last week when the bourse closed at 12,961.40 points yesterday.
The trading value of QR4.09bn last week is a decrease by 19.83 percent compared to QR5.10bn last week. The trading volume of 110.27 million shares is a decrease by 17.80 percent compared to 134.15 million shares last week, while the 44,366 transactions is a drop by 19.02 percent compared to 54,785 transactions.
The market capitalisation of QR729.82bn is an increase by 0.57 percent compared to QR725.69bn at the end of previous week.
Industries led the trading value last week accounting for 22.32 percent of the total. Real estate accounted for 19.82 percent. Banks and financial services accounted for 19.49 percent, and telecoms accounted for 12.98 percent. 
Real estate topped the traded volume with 27.21 percent of the total. Telecoms accounted for 23.66 percent. 
Banks and financial services accounted for 14.75 percent, and transport accounted for 14.53 percent.
From the 43 listed companies, 30 ended last week higher, while 12 fell and one remained unchanged. Vodafone Qatar led traded value with 11.64 percent of the total. Qatar Gas Transport Company accounted for 9.14 percent. United Development Company accounted for 8.37 percent. QNA
