Ezdan Holding set to open two hotels

DOHA: Ezdan Holding Group will soon open two hotels - Ezdan Palace and The Curve Hotel - a move that will strengthen the group’s leadership in the hospitality and tourism sector. The Curve, a four-star hotel, is expected to open in July while Ezdan Palace will be a luxury five-star hotel and will open in January next year. 

“The Curve Hotel, we are expecting some time in July. We are almost done.. We will do some enhancements outside. We should be okay with construction by July,” Dr Mousa Al Awwad (pictured), Chief Operating Officer, Ezdan Holding Group recently told The Peninsula recently on the sidelines on real estate exhibition. 
“The Palace will be definitely ready by the end of this year. The official opening ceremony will hopefully be by January next year,” he added. 
Under Ezdan Holding Group, Ezdan Hotels Company operates as the manager of the Group’s hotels. 
Ezdan Palace is a fine luxury hotel with 194 rooms, of which 36 are interconnected, 31 suites and a Royal Suite. The hotel will be located adjacent to the Landmark Mall and across from the Ezdan and Gulf Mall on Al Shamal Road that will allow its guests to enjoy shopping with their family and also access any part of Doha within minutes. The hotel will equipped with modern technology and boasts three fine restaurants- Italian, Thai and International Cuisine. A grand ballroom that will hold events for over 900 guests.
Ezdan Hotels Company owns 32.5 percent of ‘The Curve Hotel’ located in the West Bay overlooking Arabian Gulf waters. The Curve will have a unique structure that follows the curvature of the Corniche, Doha’s famous shoreline. The architecture will allow its guests to have the best view of West Bay all the way to the Museum of Islamic.
The hotel will be spread over 64,000 square metres with a total estimated cost of QR224m. It consists of 24 floors that comprises 600 various sized serviced apartment and fully furnished.
“The demand is good for four-star hotels in Qatar. We want to diversify, this the key strategy for us- diversifying the portfolio. With The Curve, we want to attract the people who prefer to go to four-star,” said Dr Al Awwad. 
The hotel will include a two-story underground parking that can accommodate about 320 cars, in addition to a fitness centre, a fully equipped swimming pool, a meeting room and other facilities and services. 
Currently Ezdan Group operates Ezdan Hotel and Suites which is one of the largest hotels that provide a variety of well-being services and features. These features enable Ezdan Hotel to receive the largest possible number of visitors at the same time with a capacity of up to 3,100 rooms and suites.
