Doha: Qatar Airways  (QA) will offer non-stop flights from Doha to Zagreb three times a week from October 1.
The new flights will provide a more convenient alternative to the current daily flights to the Croatian capital via Budapest.
Passengers will be able to fly daily directly to Budapest, four times a week to Zagreb via Budapest on a linked flight, and three times a week directly to Zagreb on the delinked flight.
“In the two years since we began flying to Zagreb, we have watched it grow into one of our most popular destinations in Europe. I am pleased that we are now able to provide our passengers with a new and more convenient option by offering a direct flight to this beautiful city from Doha. We are also excited that those travelling with QA will now have the opportunity to experience and explore  Hamad International Airport, our newest pride and joy,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO.
Passengers flying into and out of Zagreb will benefit from the new six-hour non-stop route which will provide reduced overall travel times to and from many of QA’s 141 destinations around the world. The airline’s expanding global reach and growth in size of its increasing fleet and the popularity of the route have enabled QA to offer this new non-stop thrice-weekly service.
Passengers will enjoy a quick and convenient transfer at HIA. With more than 100 retail and dining options, as well as activity nodes and art pieces for passengers to explore, HIA is sure to enhance passengers’ overall travel experience.
The new route schedule will increase seats to 240 in Business Class and 2,640 in Economy Class per week, an increase of 72 and 384, respectively. QA will continue to fly the A320 aircraft direct to and from Zagreb, offering passengers five-star excellence in service and on-board comfort.
