“Nearly everyone will be familiar with the old whodunit board game of Clue or Cluedo where you have to guess who committed the murder, in which room, with what implement? The writer/director originally devised the play with her acting students in the UK and they took it to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2001. Since then, various permutations of the script have evolved; new songs written and new murderers emerged,” said the producer of the show Elaine Potter.
Williams trained originally as an actor at Mountview Theatre School in London and performed in the West End, Edinburgh and Canadian Fringe and most major theatres across the UK. Williams came to Qatar to work with young people, to help develop a performing arts curriculum and community theatre projects.
The tickets for today are priced QR100 and for tomorrow its is QR250 including a 3-course meal.
The musical plays tonight and tomorrow night at 7.30pm, after which it will be presented at the Edinburgh Fringe, the world’s largest arts festival scheduled from August 18 to 22.
