Doha: The second edition of Katara’s Ramadan Beach Volleyball Tournament 2016, organized by the Beach Management of the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara will start today.
This year, the tournament will see 12 teams in action, including the Katara team which grabbed the title in the previous edition and Ezghawa team which came second in the first edition. Both teams of Sharq and Old Al Sulaitah who ranked third and fourth last year will also be in action. Eight new teams will also participate in this year’s tournament.
The teams will be divided into two groups. The first group consists of Ezghowi, Al Gharrafah, Sharq, Al Wa’ab, Najmah and Al Doha, while the second includes the Katara, Um Ghwailenah, Al Sultah, Al Wakrah, Mshaireb and Al Muntazah teams.
Al Gharrafah will meet Ezghowi in the first game which starts at 9.15pm. The Peninsula
