Doha: International Bank of Qatar (ibq) and W Doha Hotel and Residences partnered again this year on initiatives during Ramadan as part of their community outreach to bring cheer and hope to patients at Rumailah Hospital and Hamad General Hospital (HGH).
The collaboration saw the elderly in Trauma Unit receive Iftar and a visit to Al Maha Unit in Paediatrics at Rumailah Hospital where Azadea presented new outfits to all young patients donated by Gymboree kids fashion store.
ibq and the hotel also visited children in paediatrics wards at HGH to celebrate Garangao and distribute gifts to them and nurses.
Muhannad Kamal, Deputy CEO, ibq, said: “The collaboration with W Doha and Gymboree is part of ibq’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship through CSR activity which has seen us support social, financial, cultural and sporting charitable initiatives over the years.”
Safac Guvenc, General Manager of the hotel said: “We are continuously strengthening partnership with ibq each year. With added programmes and potentially more hearts involved, we are confident we can spread the value of sharing, especially during Ramadan.”
Azadea Country Manager Ara Artin said: “It is our pleasure to provide kids with new outfits from Gymboree to cheer them up at this time and hopefully bolster their spirits during their stay in hospital during Ramadan as part of our CSR activity.”The Peninsula
