Lusaka: Zambian Vice President Mutale Nalumango remained safe after a helicopter accident in Nakonde District of Muchinga Province, the Zambian government confirmed Thursday.
Patrick Kangwa, secretary to the cabinet, said in a statement that the accident occurred at takeoff during the vice president's official visit to the region
He said that the vice president was taken to a local health facility for a routine checkup and has been discharged. "The vice president is in good health," he added.
