Doha: Due to unsuitable pitch conditions at Al Sadd ground – the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) has rescheduled a number of matches.
With new turf being laid, the pitch will need a number of weeks before play can once again commence.
A number of matches involving Al Sadd and Al Sailiya had to be rescheduled and this has had a knock-on effect on other fixture dates.
This upcoming week’s matches were originally scheduled for Thursday and Friday but will now be played on Friday and Saturday.
Changes to the match fixtures are as follows: Round 3: Al Wakra vs Al Sadd will now be played on September 13 at 18:00; Qatar SC vs Al Sailiya will now be played on September 13 at 20:15.
Round 4: Umm Salal vs Al Sadd will now be played on September 18 at 20:15
Round 1: Al Shahaniya vs Al Sadd will now be played on September 22 at 20:15
Round 5: Al Gharafa vs Al Sailiya will now be played on September 25 at 18:00; Al Arabi vs Al Sadd will now be played on September 26 at 20:15
Round 6 : no changes
Round 7: Al Shamal vs Al Sailiya will now be played on October 16 at 19:45; Al Ahli vs Al Sadd will now be played on October 17 at 17:30
Round 8 : no changes
Round 9: Al Wakra vs Al Ahli will now be played on October 25 at 19:45
Round 10 : no changes
Round 2: Al Sailiya – Al Shahaniya will now be played on November 4 at 19:45
Round 11 to 15 – no changes.
