Lebanese president receives credentials of Qatari ambassador

BEIRUT: President of the Lebanese Republic Gen. Michel Suleiman has received the credentials of HE Ali bin Hamad Al-Merri as Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon.

HE the Qatari Ambassador conveyed greetings of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Lebanese President, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the government and people of Lebanon.

For his part, the Lebanese President entrusted the Qatari Ambassador with his greetings to HH the Emir and his wishes to the Qatari people of welfare and prosperity.

President Suleiman stressed keenness to further strengthening relations between the two countries and hailed Qatar's supportive positions which continuously contribute to maintaining stability in Lebanon.

The Qatari Ambassador highlighted the strong relationships between Qatar and Lebanon, and underlined keenness to further promoting bilateral relations to serve both courtiers' interests. (QNA)
