Doha: The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) celebrated the graduation of the third batch of the National Search and Rescue Team, which oversees the training of the National Academy of specialist training.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Commander of the Private Operations Group Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Rashid in the presence of a number of directors and commanders of groups and Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Academy of Specialist Training Masoud Mohamed Al Khaldi.
The number of the graduates totalled 32 trainees including officers, non-commissioned officers and privates.
The programme included a number of training courses in different international training institutes that covered fire fighting, free parachuting, medical aid, explosives rescue by ropes, diving urban rescue, disposal of hazardous materials and navigation.
The Search and Rescue Officer Major Abdullah Al Muhannadi and Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Academy of Specialist Training Masoud Mohamed Al Khaldi held a press conference in which Al Muhannadi thanked the academy saying that it is the strategic training partner of the search and rescue team.
