University students had the chance to give their creativity some wings and showcase their imagination and directorial talents as they presented their 60-second film clips revolving around the theme of “Wings” during the Red Bull 60 Seconds competition. And it was none other than Rehan Pinto from Stenden University who was the winner of the much sought-after prize.
The winner’s name was announced at the HBKU, Student Center, Education City. No limits – except the 60-second time frame – were imposed on the ingenious and creative aptitudes of the students, who used a HD camera/smartphone to film their clips illustrating the theme of “Wings”. Competitors participated individually or in three-member teams.
Clips were judged on creativity, relevance to theme and music integration. The selected winner received prizes from “Virgin” and will have their “dream clip” filmed by “Innovation Films” to participate in a cultural festival, preceded by a 10-hour movie-making workshop .
