DOHA: International Police Organisation held a training workshop for noncommissioned officers at the Passports Department at Hamad International Airport on how to deal with Interpol’s lost or stolen passports database.
Ft. Lt. Ahmad Majali Al Jassim, Head, International Police Section, Communication Department, Interpol, said the workshop aimed to raise awareness among employees of concerned departments.
He said dealing with lost or stolen passports is related to technical systems known as MIND/FIND that enable to identify the problems with passports in case of suspicion.
A total of 350 officers will take part in workshops and will be deployed in various sections of the Airport Passports Department. Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Trainer, Interpol, said Interpol had started a training campaign in 2011 and trained 600 personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department, the Traffic and Airport Passports Department and others. The Peninsula
