Doha: Jumbo Electronics celebrated 34 years of operations in Qatar with cutting the anniversary cake.
Started as a showroom with three employees on November 22, 1980, it has grown to a 17-showroom electronics retailer and diversified operations, including full-fledged MEP contracting company providing total solutions for MEP and B2B.
The ceremony, attended by Sajed Jassim Sulaiman, Vice- Chairman & MD, C V Rappai, Group CEO, and the core management team of Video Home & Jumbo Electronics, paid tributes to the late Jassim Mohammed Sulaiman, the founder of the group, for his visionary leadership, the chairman and board of directors, the ever-growing clientele for their patronage — some in the third generation — principals, vendors, suppliers for their continued support, past and present staff for contributions to the growth of the group and all those who have been a thread in the colourful tapestry of the group.
Jumbo’s association with LG Electronics dates back to 1986 and since then being LG’s sole distributor in Qatar, Jumbo & LG have become household names.
Top brands like Ariston, JBL, Harman Kardon, Brother, Kenwood along with about 50 brands have been added to Jumbo’s portfolio over the years.
