Doha: Children and staff of ISL Qatar enjoyed the visit of the acclaimed UK author Chris White on Tuesday.
White is in Doha, hosted locally by Maktaba Qatar, in collaboration with Jarrous Press, the Publishers Association and the Combined Book Exhibit.
He is participating in the 25th Doha International Book Fair which runs until January 17 at Qatar National Convention Center.
White had his first collection of poetry published in 2000. His poetry works include Bitey the Veggie Vampire, Wang Foo the Kung Fu Shrew, Shark in the toilet! and other titles, as well as illustrations and a book of two short stories.
He has been featured on radio and TV shows in the UK and has travelled around the world, spreading the love of the written rhythmic word and the joy of scribbling funny drawings.
Primary students enjoyed listening to rhymes and looking at how he quickly scribbled funny drawings of superheroes and princesses.
