DOHA: The Qatar Exchange in the green area Sunday adding 12.38 points (or 0.14 percent) to advance to 8,769.97 points from 8,757.59 Thursday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 5,038,947 from 6,988,984 on Thursday, and the value of shares decreased to QR176,894,357.22 from QR201,706,733.56 Thursday.
Among the top gainers were Doha Insurance which was up 1.27 percent to QR27.85, Gulf International rose 1.35 percent to QR33.80, United Development Company gained 1.12 percent to QR18.00 and Nakilat up by 0.81 percent to QR16.13.
The Banking and Financial sector index was up 0.07 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index rose 0.52 points and insurance sector added 0.27 points.(QNA)
