Doha: Kahramaa has announced that the National Programme for Conservation and Energy Efficiency ‘Tarsheed’ achieved a great progress in terms of electricity and water conservation in 2013.
Electricity per capita consumption deceased by 10 percent and water consumption by 6 percent compared to 2012.
“This is a remarkable success by the Conservation and Energy Efficiency Department to achieve Tarsheed objectives which aim at decreasing electricity and water per capita consumption by 35 percent and 20 percent by 2016, Engineer Ali Mohamed Al Ali, Conservation and Energy Efficiency Manager, said in a press release yesterday.
