The Shiv Sena which shares an uneasy alliance with the BJP has taken a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi with party president Uddhav Thackeray stating that the Delhi debacle was a defeat of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“I think this defeat is the responsibility of Narendra Modi,” Uddhav Thackeray said when asked who was responsible for the BJP’s defeat.

Thackeray also took a swipe at the Modi wave by claiming that the results have shown that a Tsunami is bigger than any wave. He also claimed that people had become tired of the present political scenario and they could not be taken for granted.

The Shiv Sena is part of the BJP-led government in Maharashtra but shares an uneasy relationship with its dominant partner with ministers often indulging in verbal jousting.
