Qatar Stock Exchange up 0.17 percent

DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Sunday, adding 14.72 points (or 0.17 percent) to advance to 8,520.94 points from  8,506.22 on Thursday.
 
The volume of the shares traded fell to 4,589,941 from 5,367,123 on Thursday and the value of shares increased to QR237,097,797.89 from QR234,550,281.55  Thursday.
 
Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 0.47 percent to QR170.10, Commercial Bank of Qatar rose 0.45 percent to QR66.40, Barwa Real Estate gained 0.55 percent to QR27.20 and United Development Company up by 0.86 percent to QR17.50.
 
The Banking and Financial sector index lost 0.17 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index fell 0.09 points. The industrial sector gained 0.19 points while insurance sector dropped 0.92 points.
