Doha: The first chapter of the General Management Course (GMC) organised by the Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA) under the supervision of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) will kick off at Lusail Hall at QOC building today.
The five-day training course brings together 41 trainees from the local sport federations, clubs, Qatar Women Sport Committee (QWSC) and the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence.
Dr Cecilia Faria, one of the key speakers, will provide trainees with a series subjects pertained to woman and sports, women development and general management in sport organisations.
A number of sport experts and management specialists will provide their academic and professional experience during the course, including Anthony Sigoy, Itory Mazilli, Tarek Al Ali and Ghassan Haddad. Topics such as women and sport in general management, refereeing, sport law and anti-doping control will be discussed in the five-day course.
