2014 World Cup venue Manaus stages first game

Fans arrive for the inauguration of the Arena Amazonia Vivaldo Lima Soccer Stadium in Manaus, yesterday. The World Cup stadium in the Amazonian city of Manaus was inaugurated yesterday with a ceremony and test match in front of a crowd of 20,000 fans. The stadium is the eighth of the 12 World Cup stadiums to be officially handed over with construction still under way in Curitiba and Sao Paulo, which will host the opening match on June 12.
