ConocoPhillips to bring expertise to Qatar

DOHA: ConocoPhillips Qatar has announced to bring its experts from global operations to share their knowledge and expertise at the Fifth Gulf Intelligence Doha Energy Forum and Women in Energy Summit, which is set to begin today here.
The energy giant is a premier partner of the two-day event.
The summit is being held under the patronage of H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority and organised by Gulf Intelligence. ConocoPhillips is keen to offer its support for this important industry focal point and will also be hosting three sessions throughout the two-day event. 
The Gulf Intelligence Doha Energy Forum is intended to facilitate a robust and intimate exchange of knowledge between the principal stakeholders responsible for the stewardship of the Qatar energy industry. The Gulf Intelligence Women in Energy Summit on the other hand looks to discuss and debate the outlook the increasing trend towards women in the Gulf pursuing careers in the energy industry and putting forward recommendations on how to accelerate this trend.

Matt Fox, executive vice president, Exploration and Production at ConocoPhillips, will be taking part in the International Leadership Panel: “Asia Outlook” in which he will discuss energy demand in Southeast Asia and whether it will be a future engine of demand growth or demand decline. 
This will be followed by ConocoPhillips’ Birger Balteskard, manager, Global LNG Marketing, who will address “Market Pattern Shifting: Change in Global LNG Supply/Demand Dynamics”. On the second day, Sarah Mroueh, Communications and Public Affairs Specialist, ConocoPhillips Qatar will take part in a panel discussion, “Generation Y Meets Baby Boomers in 21st Century Oil Industry – An Opportunity for Female Professionals”.
