Qatari, Turkish trade teams talk cooperation

DOHA: Members of a visiting Turkish trade delegation, headed by Lutfi Semsec, Chairman of MUSIAD (Mustakil Isadartari Dernegi, or Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association) met with their Qatari counterparts here yesterday.
MUSIAD helps Turkish companies promote their businesses overseas. The trade delegation is from Konya City, famous for the Shrine of 13th Century Sufi Saint Rumi, and its thriving modern industries. 
Qatar Chamber (QC) Vice Chairman, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Tuwar Al Kuwari held a meeting with members of the delegation and discussed ways to deepen and strengthen bilateral cooperation. 
The meeting focused on enhancing economic cooperation in different fields, including education, healthcare, waste recycling, logistics and industry. Al Kuwari said there are a lot of successful Turkish companies operating in Qatar and taking part in developing infrastructure and mega projects.
QC Board Members Ebtihaj Al Ahmadani and Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli were present at the meeting in the presence of Memes Kutukusi, Chairman of Konya Chamber of Industry, and Selsuk Uturi, Chairman of Konya Chamber of Commerce.
Earlier, some 42 Turkish businessmen held meetings with their Qatari counterparts to discuss cooperation in many sectors such as construction, industry, tourism, automotive and electronics industry. The Peninsula
