ISLAMABAD: President Asif Zardari’s Pakistan People’s Party is still undecided as to who will lead their party campaign in next month’s general elections as it lacks leadership charisma to take the party into wining position.

Senior leadership of the party also seems confused as they come up with no clear answer to the vital question of party leadership, saying that it will be decided within next few days once the process of scrutiny is completed and final list of the candidates is displayed by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Though two former Prime Ministers Yousuf Gilani and Pervaiz Ashraf were given the responsibilities in South Punjab and Upper Punjab yet both are facing the problems to lead the party in the election as both lack leadership charisma.

PPP leader Amin Fahim may also not able to lead the party campaign even in Sindh as he is facing a case in the Supreme Court relating to an alleged receipt of funds. Other leaders say it would be difficult for PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari to lead the party campaign throughout the country due to security concerns.Internews
