Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and Prime Minister of Jordan HE Bishr Al-Khasawneh, held an official talks session at the Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah Palace today.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Jordanian Prime Minister also held a bilateral meeting after an iftar banquet held by His Excellency in honor of the Jordanian Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to the country.
During the session, they reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of supporting and developing them, particularly in the fields of economy and investment, and discussed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The two sides expressed their strong condemnation of the repeated Israeli attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and their deep concern that these provocations would lead to an expansion of the circle of violence in the region, while stressing on the necessity of not infringing on the historical and legal status of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The two also emphasized the important role the Jordanian custodianship has over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
