Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs (Shafallah) held a lecture entitled “Pedagogies for Access and Inclusion: Service Learning and Universal Design for Learning” which was given by Felicia L Wilczenski, Ed.D from the University of Massachusetts in Boston, United States. A number of personnel in the field of disability from the centre and the Supreme Council for Education attended the lecture held at the centre’s 3D theatre.
The lecture focused on the importance of Integration of community work with curriculum goals by developing a strategy that helps planning and implementing Inclusive Learning and Service-Learning projects to promote both personal and community growth.
