BAKU: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdul-Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani arrived today in Azerbaijan's Capital, Baku, at the invitation of Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
The GCC Secretary-General is scheduled to take part in the donors' conference to finance the strategic plan for the development of the Holy City of Jerusalem, which Azerbaijan hosts in implementation to the resolution adopted during the OIC Summit in Cairo last February.
Besides the conference, the GCC Chief will hold official talks with high-ranking officials in Azerbaijan where he is also expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Republic of Azerbaijan aiming at further enhancing bilateral relations.
The GCC Secretary-General is accompanied by an official delegation includes the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and the Assistant Secretary-General for Negotiations Affairs and Strategic Dialogues. (QNA)
