DOHA: Five young winners of Qatar Airways’ Future of Travel art competition have gone on a five-day trip to Zurich with their families.
The airline treated the young artists to an incredible trip to Switzerland which included flights, accommodation and tours thanks to the additional support of Marriot Hotel and the Zurich Tourism Board.
As well as touring the sites of the Swiss city, the youngsters also visited children’s education-based theme park Kinder City.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said initiatives such as the Future of Travel competition helped engage young people with an interest in aviation. “The imagination and excitement about aviation and travel that was displayed in the entries we received was heartening and we were extremely pleased with the number of children who took part,” said Al Baker.
“Encouraging local talent is something Qatar Airways takes great pride in and we were delighted to see the five winning artists enjoy this fabulous trip to Europe as a reward for their efforts,” he said.
