SINGAPORE: Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company, or Tasweeq, has offered about 120,000 tonnes of gas-to-liquids (GTL) jet fuel through a term contract, marking its second such contract, a tender document showed on Wednesday.
Tasweeq has offered one 40,000-tonne cargo a month of the fuel for loading from Ras Laffan in Qatar over September to November, the document stated.
The tender closes on July 16 and is valid until July 18.
Tasweeq sold its first term cargoes for loading over June to August to Vitol at a premium of about 40 cents a barrel over the Tasweeq pricing formula, sources have said.
GTL jet fuel is produced in the Pearl GTL plant, Qatar's $19 billion gas-to-liquid fuels project and the world's largest GTL facility.
The plant strips methane from the world's biggest non-associated gas field and combines it with oxygen to produce middle distillates, natural gas liquids and ethane. (Reuters)
