Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met today with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, who is visiting Istanbul.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, in addition to the developments in the Palestinian territories and the region.

The Palestinian President briefed, during the meeting, his Turkish counterpart on the latest political developments related to the Palestinian cause and the effects of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

He also briefed him on the continuous Israeli attacks in occupied Jerusalem, and the ongoing displacement of citizens there.
