Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, received a phone call from HE Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the call, they reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts undertaken and the joint coordination to de-escalate, enhance security, and promote stability in the region.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what has been agreed upon within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, to maintain regional security, preserve the gains achieved, and enhance regional stability.
The Prime Minister also renewed the State of Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region.
