Doha, Qaar: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), represented by the Personal Data Privacy Protection Department, hosted a virtual seminar titled ‘Protecting Personal Data Privacy in the Age of Resilience,’ drawing over 150 participants from diverse sectors across the country.
The session examined the critical role personal data protection plays in reinforcing organisational resilience amid evolving digital landscapes.
Organisers highlighted best practices for adhering to Qatar’s Law No. (13) of 2016 on the Protection of Personal Data Privacy, which governs the safe handling, processing, and security of personal information.
Key discussions centred on fostering digital trust, establishing robust data governance frameworks, and cultivating a proactive culture of privacy across all entities in the State of Qatar.
Speakers emphasised that safeguarding individual privacy rights serves as a fundamental pillar for broader institutional security and public confidence.
By bringing together key stakeholders from both public and commercial domains, the NCSA reiterated its commitment to driving regulatory compliance and elevating national standards in cybersecurity and data governance.
